How You Can Help as a Business

Get Involved as a Driving Instructor

.Calling all Driving instructors to Pass a Pound

Millions of disabled people have lost their driving license after experiencing a life changing disability, or were born disabled, preventing them from driving.

The on-going support and assistance of some very wonderful Instructors and other ADI’s enables Speed of Sight to provide amazing motorsport experiences to less-abled people.

The charity provides driving experiences for people of all ages and abilities, whether their disability is Cognitive, Sensory or Physical.  These people would never be able to pass a driving test, but can still have the opportunity to take the wheel in our specially adapted, dual controlled cars. In these cars, they can drive in a safe, controlled environment, enjoying a driving thrill they never imagined possible.

It is our mission to expand our capabilities to reach more people with disabilities and offer more driving experiences. To do this we need two things :-

  • ADIs to volunteer 1 or 2 days each year, to help instruct at our track days around the country.
  • ADIs to adopt our initiative - PASS A POUND

With your help, every time a student takes their test they, and you in turn, can help gift a driving experience of a lifetime to someone less abled, by text donating £1 - £10. Through this donation, you will play a part in giving a fantastic driving experience to someone who previously would have thought it an impossible dream.

Text SOSC46 to 70070 with your amount (£1 to £10).

Should you wish to donate more frequently to our Charity, we do offer a Regular Giving option

We are a small charity, delivering our unique driving experiences throughout the U.K. We do not receive any government funding and rely completely on the kind generosity of the general public and business.

In giving your support to us, it will help inspire those whose lives are often forgotten, and help us drive change for those with disabilities

Nobody likes to be told they cannot do something.  Those with a disability are often told they will never be able to drive. We at Speed of Sight have been able to provide driving experiences to make the impossible possible, providing a driving experience that inspires people to test the limits of what they can do.

Please Note…

All participating ADIs will receive a bumper sticker, in acknowledgement of their support for our good cause.  In addition, they will be featured on our social media every time one of their students passes their test and passes a pound.  Simply tag Speed of Sight on Twitter and attach a photo with the individual’s details to us, including #passapound
