At Speed Of Sight Ltd, we take the security and privacy of data very seriously. Please find details below of our security measures which are continuously maintained and adhered to.

We appreciate there is a lot of information to read but we want you to be fully informed about your rights and how Speed Of Sight Ltd uses your data. As maintenance of this policy is ongoing, occasional updates may be required. We will inform you of any significant changes but do please come back and check regularly.

Any individual may access personal data related to them, including opinions. So if your comment or review includes information about the Partner who provided that service, it may be passed on to them if requested.

How Personal data is collected

  • Via interactions with us over the phone, by email or online. An example might be notes from conversations with you, queries, complaint details, comments, purchase details and web visits.
  • On documents you provide to prove marketing compliance. This will include details of your full name, address, telephone number, and/or email address.

Our website does not collect specific, detailed information about you as a visitor to our site.

Where information is gathered, we will inform you of this along with the explanation of why it is required. This information will be for purposes such as responding to an enquiry made and we will ask for this information in order for us to get in touch and provide the relevant information which has been requested from you.

Cookies and tracking software are used on a temporary basis and expire when the site has been left. These are used for purposes such as website improvement. Google Analytics is also used for the same reason of website improvement and understanding how you use it. This information is not shared with anyone.

By using the website, you are consenting to the use of cookies to retain session information for the purposes listed above. This information is held in your web browser and is removed at the end of your session.

Payments

Payment card details are not stored by Speed Of Sight Ltd and are used solely for individual transactions to which they habe been provided for. Addiitonally, customer’s details are not shared with any third parties.

Additional information

Data will be stored for a reasonable period of time. After you have stopped being an active customer, we may continue to contact you with information relating to our products and services. We deem a reasonable period of time to be three years after an order has been completed or agreement has expired. After this time, the data we hold will either be deleted, anonymised or retained providing you have not asked us to remove it.

This information will not be passed on to anyone other than authorised employees and volunteers of Speed Of Sight Ltd. We currently do not use external companies to send promotional material or make contact on our behalf but if this was to change we would expect them to adhere to the same rules as Speed Of Sight Ltd. They would be expected to erase any data upon termination of any such agreement.

While you are a customer of Speed Of Sight Ltd, the basis for processing your data is under ‘contract’. When you are no longer an active customer of Speed Of Sight Ltd, the basis is ‘legitimate interest’ as we would like you to once again order products/services from us. Prior to placing the order, an enquirer is processed on consent.

You have the right to request information we hold for you which will be provided free of charge within 28 days.

The data we hold will be corrected when we are notified of errors.

Information we hold for you will no longer be processed if requested to do so.

Information we hold for you will be deleted if requested to do so. If we obtain your details again in the future, it is possible we may accidentally contact you as we will hold no record of you and your contact preferences. We may ask to keep your email address on an ‘unsubscribe’ list to avoid you being emailed by accident in the future.

You have the right to stop processing your personal data under legitimate interest for individual reasons. We will comply unless we believe there is a legitimate overriding reason to continue processing.

To stop direct marketing by email, click the ‘unsubscribe’ link in any email communication that we send you. We will update our records to stop further mailings as quickly as we can. However, for up to 28 days you may still receive further mailings which were already in progress prior to you asking us to stop.
