Andy Bevan
My aim in life is to nurture everyone’s natural talents and make them realise their dreams and aspirations. My skill sets as a qualified maths teacher and approved driving instructor (ADI) allow me to strengthen an individual’s natural ability and inspire them to learn new abilities. Speed of Sight allows me to make someone realise that the IMPOSSIBLE is actually POSSIBLE with a little guidance and patience.
Of all my achievements in life, the three that stand out are:
Having the perfect family, my gorgeous supportive wife and my two beautiful girls, living in our dream home proving my old school teachers wrong, by passing my GCSEs, qualifying for the best college in our region (Winstanley College) and graduating from university (Edge Hill) with BSC(Hons) Mathematics and Education 2:2. Creating a very successful driving school business (Road to Glory based in Wigan) that has become well known in our town, so much so that over 750 people have now gained their full driving licences, the majority passing first time
My other passions in life are:
Wigan Warriors Rugby League Club; which I was a mascot for, played in a curtain raiser for, I have watched teammates and friends from my old team Hindley ARLFC play for and I am also a season ticket holder of 10 years
Photography; I love all aspects of photography, this has lead to me photographing weddings, parties, nursery photos, architecture, landscapes, astrophotography and THE MILKY WAY
Mountain biking; I regularly get out on the bike solo, with family and friends, with colleagues and for charity to fundraise.
It was a chance meeting with Speed of Sight at a Guide Dog Training Centre open day that lead to me joining the family. Not knowing that I would later become a trustee and the lead instructor, developing a brilliant team of individually trained instructors that are qualified to pass on these life-changing experiences to our participants
