How Our Work Changes Lives- Real Life Stories

Here at Speed of Sight, we are fortunate enough to share that, through the help of our incredible work, we are able to change the lives of so many. That is why we are ecstatic to share some of our real-life stories with you in this blog today. These stories are from real people who attended our track day events. These individuals range from volunteers to just casual observers who were greatly affected by our work. Sit back, relax, and grab a tissue, as these stories are sure to bring a tear to your eye.

Charlie Butterworth – Volunteer:

Charlie volunteered at one of our track day events and had nothing but positive things to say about the Speed of Sight charity. He stated he was “wholeheartedly impressed with the experience and the wonderful efforts of this amazing charity.” Charlie believes that driving is a sign of capability and independence. So, being able to offer this experience to those who may have had this ability taken away from them is profound and moving. He said he watched confidence emerge from the people returning from the track with huge grins, laughter, and sometimes tears of joy. We could not agree more with the things Charlie said!

Tracey Paling-

Tracey is a regular participant at our track day events. The day of her driving test, she lost her sight and believed she would never drive again, until we made it happen here at Speed of Sight. She said, “We made her dream come true.” This is why we do what we do! Tracey even said she sees the Speed of Sight team as her extended family. All these amazing stories give us the motivation to never stop doing what we do.

These are just two of the many stories that showcase the impact Speed of Sight has had on an individual. If you want to experience this once in a lifetime opportunity like the individuals mentioned in this blog, you can book one of our 2024 Track Day events.
